  • 1 sachet Extra Mature Cheddar cheese sauce
  • 300 millilitres (½ pint) semi­ skimmed milk
  • 6 rashers smoked streaky bacon
  • 200 grams tortilla chips
  • 1 jalapeno chilli, sliced

Instructions

  1. Stir the sauce mix with milk in a small saucepan. Bring to the boil gently, stirring continuously. Simmer for a couple of minutes, until sauce is smooth and thickened.
  2. Grill the bacon until very crisp, and warm the tortilla chips on the shelf below in the oven.
  3. Heap the chips onto a platter and pour over the cheese sauce. Break the bacon into small pieces and sprinkle over, followed by jalapeño. Serve immediately.
