Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 450 grams (1 pound) lean pork, cubed
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 sachet Somerset Pork Casserole
  • 300 millilitres (½ pint) cider
  • 1 apple, cored and sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C, 375°F, Gas Mark 5.
  2. Heat oil, fry pork and onion for 3-4 minutes. Transfer to a casserole dish.
  3. Mix sachet contents with water and add to casserole dish. Cover and cookfor 1 hour or until meat is tender, adding the apple for the last 30 minutes.
  4. Serve with sautéed potatoes ans steamed green beans.
