  • 500 grams beef mince, extra lean
  • 1 sachet Schwartz® Pizza Express Spicy Beef and Pepper Pasta Bake Mix
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1 small red onion, diced
  • 400 gram tin chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon tomato purée
  • 600 militeres boiling water
  • 275 grams rigatoni pasta (uncooked)
  • 75 grams mozzarella or Cheddar cheese, grated

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180°C / 350°F / 160°C Fan / Gas Mark 4.
  2. In large frying pan over medium-high heat, fry mince until browned. Add the seasoning, pepper and onion, and cook for a further 3-4 minutes, before adding chopped tomatoes, tomato purée, water and pasta.
  3. Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 12-15 minutes. Transfer to an ovenproof dish, top with cheese and cook in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until bubbling and golden brown.
  4. Cooking Tip Try with plant-based mince. Also great for meatballs; fry diced onion and pepper for 5 mins, add the seasoning, 400g tin chopped tomatoes, 125ml water and browned meatballs. Bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 15 mins. Serve with pasta and grated cheese.
