Looking for a Greek fakeaway? Try this super tasty lemon and thyme chicken gyros with crispy salad and a homemade, zingy Tzatziki sauce. Enjoy the authentic flavours of Mediterranean cuisine in just a few simple steps.
- Place the chicken in a large bowl with the oil and the Chicken Seasoning, mix well to coat chicken all over, set aside.
- Meanwhile place the grated cucumber into a clean tea towel, wrap around and gently squeeze the cucumber from the juice. Transfer to a bowl, add the yoghurt and mint and mix well. Season with Salt and Pepper to taste, set aside until needed.
- Heat a large pan on medium heat, add the marinated chicken and fry gently for 7-8 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.
- Toast the flat bread or pitta bread and then assemble your Gyros with the lettuce, tomatoes, onion, cooked chicken and tzatziki.
