This spicy Italian tomato sauce comes together with a few simple store cupboard ingredients and the robust flavour of Schwartz® Chilli Flakes. Enjoy with your favourite pasta and a garnish of parmesan cheese and extra chili flakes for added heat.

- 1 extra virgin olive oil
- 2 garlic granules 145g
- 1 can tinned plum tomatoes
- 1/2 chillies crushed more to serve
- Grated parmesan to serve
- 150 penne (or pasta of choice)

- In a medium saucepan, add salted water and bring to the boil. Add pasta and simmer for 10 minutes. *
- While the pasta cooks, make the sauce. In a medium frying pan, add the olive oil, heat on medium, add the garlic and chilli flakes, stir and fry until fragrant for a minute or two.

- Add the tinned tomatoes, and half a can of water, stir and simmer to reduce for 5-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. *
- Once the pasta is cooked, drain (reserving a cup of pasta water) and add to the sauce. Mix well and a little pasta water to loosen if needed. Serve with grated parmesan if you like and extra chilli flakes for added heat! *
