- Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F / 160°C Fan / Gas Mark 4.
- Mix the baking powder, chilli powder, salt and black pepper together in a mixing bowl, then toss the chicken wings in it to thoroughly coat. Transfer to a lined baking tray and drizzle with oil. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes.
- To make the sauce, place a saucepan on a low heat and add the FRANK'S RedHot® Buffalo Sauce, unsalted butter, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar and brown sugar. Cook for 5 minutes, then set aside.
- Take the chicken wings out of the oven and increase the oven temperature to 200°C / 180°C Fan / Gas Mark 6. Brush the chicken wings with ¾ of the sauce and transfer back to the baking tray. Place back in the oven for a further 25 minutes, or until crisp and golden.
- Drizzle with the remaining sauce and scatter with the chopped cooked bacon and chives to serve.
